With the release today of Drupal 7 it has given me time to reflect on how far things have come and changed, I have been lucky to be part of the Drupal Community for many years now since Drupal 4. So much has changed with in Drupal it self complex processes have become easier to create for clients, which in times past have meant a lot of development to get your desired results.
The community has grown so much with large releases of great modules that help a developer get results to market faster than ever.
With the release of Drupal 7 we are at the dawn of a new age of development and with the ethos of creating flexible tools to create content for your clients and site administrators, we as developers are about to take a new step forward in a new generation of community websites.
I am my self looking forward to using the better APIs in Drupal 7 in projects over the coming year, life as a Drupal developer is about to change.
A big thanks to Dries and the 1,000 developers who have been working on bringing Drupal 7 to us developers for the past 3 years giving up there personal time to make this happen,
